And we live to fight another day.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Weekend plans: Maybe Greek food, definitely ogling Idris Elba on video (Is it wrong to rent a movie about ministers to ogle?) Deadwood, even though I'm still behind and therefore a puerile cocksucker.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Heh, I'm not going to Utah. DH is taking both kids - so I will have almost a week of quiet (just me and my mom) in the middle of all that.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

My weekend? Coming in to work for a couple of hours tomorrow and then helping my daughter move into her new apartment. After that, who knows. I may shampoo my carpets. Color me thrilled.

I'm getting the pig!

Weekend plans: Saturday night I have to go to dinner at a friend's house and Sunday I'll likely hang with the Aunts. Nothing too big as I still need to find time to clean.

Oh! And watch movies. A co-worker just loaned me Good Night And Good Luck and The Prize Winner Of Defiance, Ohio. I'm unfamiliar with the second one but Netflix makes it sound interesting.

It's from a memoir by a woman whose mom practically supported the family winning contests for housewives...Julianne Moore is probably gonna come apart in it.(I mock cause it's on my list too.) But she has been crying for work lots lately.

Herding cats for fun

Weekend plans include finding a pretty summer dress, but since I hates shopping I truly do wish someone would do it for me. It needs to be cotton and have sleeves and hopefully pockets too, since I always want a place to put my hands.

Yay for no more radiation for JenP! May your superpower be foamy and convenient too (I am still advocating that transporter thing, btw).

I kept hearing a weird sloshing-glooping noise. Turns out a juvenile bluejay is wading in the birdbath and then doing a high speed wing flutter that sends cascades of water sparkling into the sun. It's verra pretty.

Compassionately intolerant

This weekend, I'm officiating the wedding of my longest term client. It's sort of like marrying my own daughter off. (or the closest I'll ever come) It's going to be small...and long...lots of cool elements, including a 'sekrit' handfasting. Only the three of us know what that means...the mundanes will boggle I'm sure.

Then more work, work, work for the Peace March Reunion. I'm glad I volunteered to organize because...myway!...but it has been an assload of work. Still, it ought to be a blast and I feel good about what I'm providing the community.

Around 200 people are coming...one 89 year old from NZ!

First week of July? Coma time baybee...
