Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Persevering, getting dressed in the morning--whatever it is, I do it because the alternative (to crib from Highlander) is unthinkable.

And it is.

But that doesn't make it not suck.

I don't feel admiration-worthy (well, who ever does, in the moment?) but maybe after this is all done with I will look back and go "Fuck. I did that? Huh."

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I think you will, ita. I truly believe you will come out the other side of this and be as awed as we are at your fortitude during it.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think you are just silly. But that's mostly cause you won't buy spectator pumps AND white sandals.

move out and draw fire

"Fuck. I did that? Huh."

I gotta say, it looks pretty impressive to me right now. I've had the occasional migraine (none since going on the AD, what's up with that?), and I can't even imagine what you are going through.

I still haven't procured a wedding gift for my sister, who got married in 2001 and is now in the process of a divorce.

That's not slacking, that's prognostication.

And, because it is here even if it's not there yet - HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEC!!!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Um, yeah. Remember your move from MI to CA? And mine from MN to CA? I know both times people told us they admired us - I remember telling you that, I only bring up mine for common ground - and I remember my own experience being of the suck at the time, but now that I look back on it? Kinda cool that I did that. Kinda cool.

So, in conclusion, you are Teh Awesome.

Love. this thread.

It's kinda almost cool in the living room. So I just swapped the Vornado into the bedroom in an effort of megacool that as well so I can sleep soon. Ima buy me a few more of those fans. They are blessedly good at their job.

At 1:30, it was 79 in the bedroom. If it cools quickly, no posts til Brooklyn morning.

eta: It's in the high 50s outside, just without the air really moving so I have to suck the cool in manually, if you will. Thus, I realize I need more fan.

edit, the second: 75 in the bedroom at 2. So shopping online for another fan or two and then the sweet sleep of the not sweating.

What is even happening?

Cass, is an air conditioner not a possibility right now? The heat sucks the life out of me.

By all means, if a.c. can't be done right now, get more fans--at least two more, so you'll have one to suck air in, one to blow air out, and one to blow across you. When it's too hot outside to blow the outside air in, having two blowing air out, and one blowing across you.

Happy Hec day to Hec! Happy Hec day to youuuuuuuu! Happy Birthday dear, David, happy birthday to you. (It's better if I am musically in type rather than in voice...)

Not so much, really. I actually own a window unit but the windows open side to side here and leaving no screen would likely lead to kitties trying to leap into the trees right outside so they could play with the birdies and the squirrels that hang out there. Or, alternately, failing to leap to the trees and going splat.

Yep. There's a ceiling fan in the combo living / dining area and with a fan by both the sliding door in the living room and a fan in my room, I could be quite convectional. Just requires two more fans.

I browsed Vornado and while they are pricey, they are worth it. Hates the unseasonably hots, yes, we does. (Shush that I used to live in Phoenix, I had AC there until the week that I didn't and then I moved the hell out of there.)

But this morning? Cool and lovely. I am still going back to bed instead of getting up for real just yet but it's so lovely not to be all sweaty and hot. It'll be warm later but not so brutal.

Cats is being bonkers. It's the "whoa! sunrise! must thunder through the house many times and then flop to the ground with just my tail twitching in a skeery way" time.

They're gonna be pissed when I don't feed them. I mean, they've got the freely given kibble but they love the canned crack, especially Kittenish - which is weird cause she wouldn't touch the stuff when she had a broken jaw that was wired shut and only wanted the kibbly bits to munch. But she's been tossing her cookies recently so it's free kibble and canned food a couple of spoons at a time.

Hmmm, barely awake Cass is much chattier than normal. Brain work better when not melty. I'm going to waste the possible thoughts though and go back to sleep.
