Simon: You are my beautiful sister. River: I threw up on your bed. Simon: Yep. Definitely my sister.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

From 39, 36 looks downright immature, infantile, even. Are you sure you should be talking to strangers on the internet, little one?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I also feel weird complaining because I know there are people who work this many hours regularly.

I do not know how people do it, and this was another tool that I would bash myself with last summer. (I bet you can find archived posts with my panic). I would always think, "what's the matter with me? why do *I* suck? Other people can keep up this pace, what's the matter with me?" I just got to a point, after the crisis passed, and realized that different people have different strengths. Some people thrive on that kind of pressure. Some people, sadly, have no choice but to do so. But I had a choice, and I knew how damaging that kind of workload and anxiety was, and I learned from it, and applied what I learned with how I want to live my life.

Herding cats for fun

Happy Birthday JZ!!! We are glad you were born, yup.

Happy Early Bday to Hec, while I'm at it. Hope y'all have a great celebratory happiness together.

Poor K-Bug. Hope she will manage to have a good time anyway. I always have a rough time adjusting to altitude, it knocks me on my ass every time. We lowlanders don't really appreciate this rich bath of oxygen we take for granted down here. Tell her to drink water, even if she doesn't feel like it. It helps.

36? That's a young, cheerful and perky number and a good age to be. Especially cause 6 is twice three, which makes it a cool enough number to interest our big-brain math types like Nilly and Emily.

The small kitty, aka Sophie, amuses everyone, including the big cats, with her jumping-bean ways. Except that the Kitties of War are still leaving hateful editorial messages of poop on the living room carpet. This has rapidly become tiresome and I wish they would stop.

OK, this sucks that this is happening, but I am in LOVE with this sentence.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

36 ain't so old, right? RIGHT???

Absolutely not. Nope. Never.

Except that the Kitties of War are still leaving hateful editorial messages of poop on the living room carpet.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!! And, ahem, I'm so sorry that's happening. Hee.

because I know there are people who work this many hours regularly.

If I worked more than 40 hours a week, I would die. No, really. There was scientific testing and everything. So don't feel bad, in any way shape or form, please thank you.

Always Anti-fascist!

Poor Tim Goodwin at the Chronicle touched my "Wire" button and got the longest e-mail evah from a stranger. That'll teach him to taunt me about those six eps he has. But I still sort of feel sorry for him in the "person walking by wants to talk about THE LORD," kind of way because I'm not rational about the Simonverse. I want Ray Cole's funeral, you know?

Happiest of Birthdays, JZ!

I will never forget JZ's birthday, because it is my anniversary, and I remember at the reception when I took a picture with Perkins, Plei and Plei's DH, that we should have held a sign or something to acknowledge her natal day.

The DH and I celebrated with a 3 day weekend in Sonoma/Napa, hiking and using a B&B gift certificate we got as a wedding present. I don't care much about going to a brazillion wineries and doing the tasting, but I do have a favorite, Vincent Arroyo, because I think their reds are wonderful: [link]

Also, I must say, Thank-you, Epic! She sent me a sweet thank-you note for letting her crash on our couch for the F2F and she sent me the monkey from Wonderfalls! Actually, the monkeys, since they come as a pair, but I'm having trouble thinking in the plural.

I skipped 400+ messages, so I'm now going back to read.
