No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

ND and I are going to see Eddie Izzard this week--he's playing in the theatre that ND has a show up in currently (Jonathan Larsen's Tick Tick Boom), so we can watch Izzard from the sound booth after the play ends...and maybe meet him! I'm trying not to be too excited.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Cool! That's where we saw him, too. That's a nice theater. The attached pub was also great.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Morning, All.

Yay for cells-reproducing-at-more-or-less-appropriate-rates Dallas!

Captain Appropriate is just not driving the tugboat.

NATLBSB

sj, I also like dress #1, but I know crap-all about fit and all that. I just go, "ooo, pretty!" Oh, out of curiosity, have you had a chance to send the books you were getting rid of yet? (SWEAR I'm not hinting/pressuring, just want you to know in case the mail's been lost). Also go you with the mad unpacking and straightening, now with added family-visit-pressure!

I saw Eddie Izzard on Friday night.

JEALOUSJEALOUSJEALOUSJEALOUSJEALOUS

For those of you keeping track at home, I've now finished 12 of my 15 chapters, 100% on all the tests. Just have to finish the last three chapters, then go back and do the homework (for all 15). 2 hours of dance class tonight and a baseball game tomorrow night (both paid for/not willing to miss), but still I can do this! Though the fact that I'm actually hoping for a virus to keep me home from work one day this week is sorta sad...

it was unfortunate that it was not you, as then I could have gotten a hug and a kiss, which I could use this gronktastic morning, Day 21 of Work Till I Drop, on which I have a headache and my shoulder is hurting more than it has been.

Oh, P-C, that is sucktastic. Continued healing-ma, with a hearty helping of work not eating your brain-ma. {{{ P-C }}} (keeping a little distance to not jostle ouchy shoulder)

In conclusion, let's make out.

Nope. I am bad. When I moved I think I sent them to Mom's. I am going to try to locate them on Wednesday and send them out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh! I meant to get tickets to see Eddie Izzard! Dammit. But I don't have the cycles to go out, really, anyway.

I got to go have drinks with him a million years ago. He's unsurprisingly cool.

I am replacing the word "awesome" with the word "brilliant" in my vocabulary.

This is one of my favorites as well. I use "brill" for short.

I am bad. When I moved I think I sent them to Mom's. I am going to try to locate them on Wednesday and send them out.

Not bad! Crazy-busy, yes. Not bad. Please do not knock yourself out on my behalf! Whenever you get around to it, it will be a nice surprise. No stress! I insist!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Had a great time with Hec and JZ at brunch. JZ has reached the stage of pregnancy where she looks AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL, what with the glowing and curves added to her normal gorgeous eyes and lovely smile. And Hec's long hair was totally styling. The BF really enjoyed talking music in depth with Hec. A good time was had by all!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The Chief Medical Officer just said he'd been hearing great things about me.

I told him that was very strange but thanked him.

It was a good counterpoint to hearing me described as "running behind" on something, which I know was not meant to be critical but just sounds so bad, especially when I got props for getting another report out early.

move out and draw fire

so we can watch Izzard from the sound booth after the play ends...and maybe meet him!

So. jealous.

explored the Los Angeles Central Library (directly behind our hotel)

Hey! I've stayed in that hotel! And the library is in fact, made of awesome.

Yeah, Fay, I am not sure about Thailand, but overweight friends of mine have had pretty awful experiences in SE Asia. The tourist areas of Thailand, getting a lot of extremely large, extremely sunburnt Germans as they do, seemed very calm about things, but I couldn't say about living there.

I do know that my best friend, half-Thai, got a fair number of negative comments directed at her for having big boobs/looking too Western/etc. Some in English, even.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

He was not in drag.

!!!!

Well, but he wouldn't have been 'in drag', as such, because he's not a drag act. He's a transvestite - it's just that when he's on stage he's usually shinier/dressier than usual. t /pedantry But that doesn't always mean skirts - in fact most of the time it doesn't mean skirts. But it's usually women's clothes, whether we're talking leather pants or more conservative gear. afaik.

I guess you'd have noticed heels, so presumably he didn't have heels on - but I'd be surprised if he wasn't wearing women's clothes. It's kind of his thing.

::wonders whether Izzard has had some kind of freaky Road To Damascus thing about wearing boys' clothes...::

Oh, also? So very, very jealous.
