Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Pete, it sounds like the kitties are adjusting very well.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, love, you are not boring and there are so very many wonderful things about you. Need help coming up with stuff? Let us know.

Yes, please. Something other than I am unemployed, boring, and spend all day surfing the internet would be helpful.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I don't want to work. Can I go home and watch Sports Night instead?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

sj - pick a thing and talk about why it is your thing and what it has done to you.

like teacups - and collecting them and how you knew Dave was a good one when he brought you one when he barely knew you . ( or even just why it started)

or journals - why you collected them and what you did with them and how it made you feel.

or the modified bicycles that were stolen and what you did and why you did what you did

None of these people need to know your whole life - the idea is to give somethign to them - because they haven't met you in real life and they need a hook to remember you.

Thanks, beth. That is very helpful. I think I am going to talk a little bit about my disability and why it makes an online school a better option for me, and then a little bit about one of the ideas you mentioned.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

and this is the second spare the air day in a row - I am actually glad that they are in a row - because unless the wind is right - the air stays bad.

What this means - pollution levels are up - so they want you to drive as little as possible - a lot of public transportation is free, etc.

but it also means I need my inhaler. two days in a row means more coughing. at least now I now why it often bothered me the day after the Spare the air day.

plus it is ttoooooo hot. Luckily that will change.

Two Spare the Air Days in a row means the city basically paid for my lunch today. And I still have about three bucks left over for...gum.
