May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I finished my gelato yesterday (Tepmas Eve) because it was frigging 98 degrees. I am ignoiring teh fact that it is supposed to stay hot until next Tuesday and believing that my newly installed window fan will keep me cool from now on.

I have a phone interview in approx. 15 monutes. I have completely lost interest in this position, which I was first contacted about at least two weeks ago. Judging by what appears to be inherent slowness of the process, I may be interested again by the time the next step, if any, comes around, so I feel I should feign some enthusiasm.

Fernet gelato?

actually, I think it would make a nice sorbet, like the kind you get as a palate clenser in restaurants.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Morning All!

Thanks so much for the Birthday wishes. Spent the day at the SD County Fair (that's the former Del Mar Fair for Sail) with Mom, then the evening in Irish Dance class. Fun day, but I could've used another day to recover from the grease hangover (Australian Battered Potatoes? Sooooo good! Deep Fried Oreos? Interesting, reasonably tasty, though Oreos taste better straight. Indian Fry Bread? Yum! Good grief, no wonder I put on two pounds!) Also had a Birthday lunch with Dad, etc., on Father's Day. Expect a Birthday Dinner with Mom in the near future, gonna have a girls' DVD and Pizza night on Saturday, then going to do a matinee and dinner in two weeks (so my brain-sucking class will be over and I can celebrate with PIRATES!!!!!) I do so love to drag the celebrations on for as long as possible!

IOBirthdayN: Super-Happy Birthday Steph!

Much healing-ma to P-C, apartment-yays to vw, red-tape-easily-dealt-with-ma to Fay. . .can't remember more. Hugs and ~ma and glitter and chocolate to everybody! (Just in case).

Then the DH went home an made himself a "real" dinner. Veggies and tofu only ever amount to a snack for him.

Okay, I wondered.

Oh, my teacher said I could use the 100% on my test, even though the computer called it my fourth try. Turns out she's done the same thing I did (with the back buttons). So that's 100% on each of my first four chapter tests (did 3 & 4 yesterday). Only 11 to go (plus all the chapter homework) by July 1st, 10:30am. I can do this! Really. Right?

We had a graduation from 6th grade (a few songs, including slideshow, the slides for which were drawn by us, reading of names, nice clothes), none from Junior High (which was only two years at the time), and the big one from high school. Always wondered at Kindergarten graduations, but the kids look so stinkin' cute in little caps and gowns, I'd hesitate to object to it.

Okay, has anybody located that Caribbean Island where the Motivation runs off to? 'Cause mine took a runner today.

Fernet gelato?

Was not picking a flavor. Just a drink. To toast the birthday girl. Ummm, yeah.

In honor of Teppy Day, I think we should all get naps and ice cream.

I am in awe of the brilliance of Plei!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

In tattoo/corsetry news, I think I love this corset. (The top one.)

Happy Birthday, oh Tepitudious One!!!!

Why is it that bad news always seems to come in threes? Very sorry to all of you who have had bad things happen to good people around you.

I'm in favor of ice cream! I only say that because I don't know anywhere around here that sells gelato anymore, damn it. I think I must stop after work to partake.
