You know, I've saved lives. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. I reattached a girl's leg. Her whole leg. She named her hamster after me. I got a hamster. He drops a box of money, he gets a town.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So sorry I can't make the sushi on Tuesday, but it will be awesome to see Shrift on Monday anyway.

... how many folks are we talking? Should we make a reservation/confirm the TB is open?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That last part might be a really good idea, because I just tried to make an online reservation, and they had nothing available until Tuesday.

eta: They are open, according to the web site. I'm going to be tied up most of the day-- can someone call and see if they can make a reservation over the phone? TB doesn't allow parties of 10 to reserve online; when I dropped it down to 8 I got told there was nothing available. I think 10 might be more likely though: shrift, Consuela, Juliana, Megan, Polter-Cow, Java cat, Javachik(maybe), Laura Shapiro, the Zmayhems (maybe?), and me is 11.

Zmayhems

We'll be there.

Our wings are not tired.

You're talking about Monday, right?

If I make it at all, it will be late, so please don't feel it necesssary to include me in the reservation.

(and yes, I am writing this from the office...sigh)

or maybe I'll call.

Do we have a plan B? The Thirsty Bear is closed for a private party tomorrow, so that is out entirely. I asked about a reservation for Tuesday, but the only times they had available were 5:30 and 8:30. I took the 8:30, but is there a different place we can try for tomorrow?

How many people will there be in total?

Alembic should be relatively quiet on a Monday night, and they have both food and drink.

Might be fun to go some place in the Mission like the Beauty Bar or Dalva or Delerium. We could get good cheap food nearby.

I think 11 (12 if you are bringing Matilda and want to count her), plus maybe Javachik later.

We need it to be easily accessible by BART.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

appears in a cloud of event-planning glitter

In SoMa, LuLu [link] has a 7:45 availability for 10.
Financial District - Belden Taverna has a 10-top at 7:30: [link]
Union Square, John's Grill has a 10-top at 7:30: [link]
Van Ness, Maharani has a 10-top at 7:30: [link]

I actually can't personally vouch for any of these places, but I've heard good things about LuLu. And if it's 11 instead of 10, we can squeeze.

I think I counted wrong--it's 10 (11 with Matilda, 12 with Matilda and Javachik).
