Java, Shrift's not moving. She's just going to be here for some training.
Yes, I was aware of that.
Shall I add you to the Bay Area Buffistas list, shrift? If I'm not around, Jon B is a mod
I am? Why?
You offered, or at least accepted when asked, I don't recall which, so that at least 1 Stompy can add people to the Bay Area list if/when other ask, Is there a Bay Area list, how do I get on it, etc.
If there's going to be a Bay Area event, and I think shrift visiting qualifies as An Event, the list is the way to notice all the B'tas. Katerinabead for one would get the email but not something posted here, for example, and there are probably others. E.g., use it to be inclusive instead of exclusive, assuming that's a desired thing. I'd think it would be but what do I know.
I believe in the past, people just e-mailed the list and CCed or included the visitor on the e-mail as well. Seems more efficient than adding someone to the list and then taking them off.
It looks like Monday and Wednesdays are the best days for Buffistas next week.
shrift, do you want to plan something more local for whichever night we don't go into SF for the Thirsty Bear thing? It might just be me and maybe javachik if she is not buried.
Sure! I may invite some non-Buffista locals as well.
Okay!
What night to people want to go to the Thirsty bear?
Monday! (Wednesday is Live Band Karaoke in North Beach, though. That might be fun...)

It's easier to add one person to the list, then take them off, than to list a bunch of names. We do it, well, I was going to say all the time, but I really mean, with ease. C'mon, that's the whole point of a listserver.
Why would you have to list a bunch of names when you cc someone to the regular b.org mailing list?
So, Thirsty Bear at 7:30 on Monday? (I may get us there earlier, but that gives us some wiggle room.)
