You know, looking at the prom pictures one thing struck me - it's as though someone sprayed the room with Body Image Demons Begone - everyone's wearing what makes them happy, and no one's being self-conscious about age, weight, flaws ... EVERYONE gets to be hot!

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.

In my case, not so much. The pictures of me are very depressing. I'm trying to think of them as "before" pictures.
But! you had fun there, didn't you? I know I have in the past.

I am in the same boat. I had loads of fun, and I felt very pretty that night, but the pictures are a reminder of why I am now headed back to the gym and no longer stress eating. I think beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, but I like getting up in the morning, opening my closet, and putting on whatever I'm in the mood for. I don't like being down to about 10% of my wardrobe. And by not buying any more clothes, I force the issue with myself.

Hell, yeah. I need to get into the gym, because I'm obviously not doing anything at home. It's too comfy, with too many distractions. I get home and my motivation goes to bed, even if I'm still awake.
I had a great time, but I just look like a faceless lump among that very foamy crowd.
Javachik always looks very pretty.
Thanks Ginger.
But I miss having a neck. And a waist. So I shall work to have them again!

One night in my life I felt beautiful, as gorgeous and foamy as anyone else in the room. It was magic. Everyone loved me, and treated me the way I think pretty people get treated all the time (which is probably a BID lie/distortion, but hey...). When we got back, I emailed the woman who made my outfit, gushing over how she had made that magic night possible. I was crying as I typed, and she made me her current cover girl on her forum. [link]
WindSparrow - you had the ultimate prom experience. and it showed in every picture.
and that is the best thing abut the F2F weekends I've been to. I always left them with a major dose of "it is good to be me".
Looks like the weekend of August 8th is good to go for my visit to San Francisco. I'm going to start shopping for travel and send emails.

I think the thing I love about Buffistas when they meet in person is the fact that they treat people they way that they SHOULD be treated all the time.
It's quite magical.
