Guilt not! The delay didn't kick in until we were about to board.
And then it kept getting extended.
And then all the shops and restaurants closed.
And then the TSA staff went away so I couldn't have come back in if I HAD left and had dinner with DCP

And then they shortened the delay and said we'd be boarding at 9:30.
And then they rather abruptly (and not with a loud speaker that

heard) shortened it to "we need to be in the air by 9:15 or we don't get to take off".
As I told my seatmate "flying in a storm is
safe
it just
sucks."
We had some wacky turbulance and some nice steep angles and saw lots of lightning at various distances. And it was a little plane. I actually feel very safe in planes so I was fine -- but it would have been horrible for a nervous flier. Mostly we were all grateful to get home though.
So.
Freaking.
Jealous.

all. OMG, how much of a crush do I have on Mr Scola? Quite a considerable one, thank you. And I think that smonster broke me. In a good way.
So much of this has brought back very fond memories of the F2Fs I've been to, especially expeditions like the Winchester House and Atlanta Aquarium, and the proms, and the hanging out. Still WISH I could have made this one, especially because I could have added to my Buffista Life List. Next year in.. wherever, OK?

I am aboard my plane (Chicago) waiting for flight to San Francisco. I am filled with gronk. So of course I have a presentation to give to our CEO and CFO today (budgeting for my department). I hope I make it through without referring to body shots, candy bras or blurting out "that's what she said!".
Or, you know, the "revelation of sucking".
