The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Eeep! Fay, thanks for the heads-up. If you and the Jeeves (waves) would like to go in on a cab or a shuttle to the airport, I'd be up for that. I think we were all in the same airport run (for noonish flights).

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Awww, Fay, I'll tell Laura you said that. She had a lovely time herself.

Me, I'm wretchedly ill; some time between falling into bed at 2:30 and waking up for the first time at 5 am, I developed a horrible cold, with a sore throat and all sorts of gunk in my sinuses. I will not therefore be attending Deb's BBQ, which is sad-making.

Nutty is up and looks none the worse for her danceathon evening, and she's even making scrambled eggs!

Now I must go honk into tissues and grouse about having to work.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

'suela, feel better, and try not to work too hard. Also, safe travels for erika and her mom, and for Sean and S.

If anyone is heading over this way early on, can you let me know? There will be some chair cleaning and hosing and wiping to get done.

Beautiful and sunny out there, but the weather swears thundershowers.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

This is sad-making indeed! I am sending you get-well vibes: ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

...um, Hec, just wondering whether y'all would be able to swing by and pick me up before you head over to the hotel for Baseball?

Glad to chauffeur you, Fay. But we're leaving relatively soon since I have to take JZ and Deena to church, and then scamper over to the East Bay to get Emmett.

Can you be ready in half an hour?

Hec, Fay says yes.

If anyone is driving from the hotel, please please please can you bring me three things from the HS? I need the big coffee-maker (the box for it is under the prep table), my baby santoku knife (the Analon with the black blade protector) and my ELECTRIC CAN OPENER.

Ta ever so.

G'mornin, lovelies.

ND is still blissfully sleeping next to me, and I'm enjoying a quiet wake-up. When I'm more awake I will attempt a more articulate post, but for now let me just say thank you, so very much, for an incredible evening. I had one surreal moment when Lilibeth dragged me down to the hotel bar to "show me off" to her general manager and about ten other men (apparently to prove to them why it was good that they'd made an exception and let Prom go until 1AM instead of their normal 10PM cutoff), but I guess that's what I get for wearing a corset and frilly PVC skirt, right?

Showering soon, then HS for a bit and over to Deb's for the BBQ. Then the long drive back to LA and (shudder) reality.

I can take care of this.

Lilibeth was quite taken with all of us, the whole affair. She enjoyed my tiara as well.

One of my favorite moments was watching one of the kitchen staff walk into the room, see smonster belly-dancing, and clasp her hands over her mouth in utter surprise and amazement.

Oh yes, without a doubt. And who could blame her? We are pretty.
