State St. has a number of excellent shops. There's one I plan on hitting up before prom that has a lot of nifty 1950's retro dresses. You're coming in a rental, right?
ETA: If you decide to do State St. Friday evening (and it's a fun place to "do"), keep in mind that other than the bars and restaurants, most of the stores roll up their carpets between 6 and 8pm. It's a very old-fashioned area in that sense.

The only time I get mani/pedis is when I get my daughter to do them 'cause I only pay half price. (The salon she works at is 'spensive!) There is a mani/pedi place in the shopping center next to the Quality Inn. I've never used it but I popped into it to check it out. It doesn't have a lot of pedi chairs (3), but if folks are interested, I could see if they can fit some of us in on Friday in groups.
