But it was okay, because Bridget came thrifting, and was v. cute. So that worked out.
...I have two maternity dressy dresses that I'm still way too small for, and a number of nifty vintage dresses and slinky modern things that I'm way too big for. I would go naked with a cunning hat, but the body image demons would devour me and pick their teeth with my bones.

but I'm thinking that they wouldn't be able to fight their way through the crowd of swooning and besmitten Buffistafolk.

Luckily the hotel made it easy to find the prom. Unfortunately I had to retire early due to this headach that will. not. go. away. But I got to meet a lot of folks, see smonster dance, see Deb present the swag to Lillibeth (who was almost as adorable as Pete), watch some various vids in the HS, see loads of corsets, tiaras and fooforaw, and observe much shaking of booty. I'm sorry that I only got to meet about half of who was there and will no doubt need to remind myself of names again and again. But I had a good time and it was wonderful seeing all the Buffistae having such a good time.
Home briefly to drop off my sleepy and pregnant wife (and change my very dance-sweaty shirt) and head back to the Prom.
Much much fun is happening. Many big smiles. Is good.
I did not die! I mean, I guess I almost could have, but I did not. Yet.
Also, I danced with Nutty and JZ AIWFG.

So. Very. Tired.
But it was a very successful Prom. Not just fun but that good connection and building little flesh and blood anchors that sustain and enrich the online life. A
lot
of dancing at this Prom. The most since Chicago. We missed Jon B.'s theremin, but got to see Smonster's super sexy belly dance performance. Everybody had a digital camera so I expect there will be brazilians of pictures up eventually.
Also MM punched ND in the nuts. That was funny. Plus a whole bra made out of candy. There was a lot of candy eating still going on when I left. (Don't worry, I had my share.)
