Nutty and I also got to stand at a taxi stand without taxis for a while last night, but eventually we got home and indulged in a small vid orgy with this year's Escapade vids and last year's Vividcon vids. She got to enjoy the glory of the unspeakable Mal/Wash vid.
I'm actually going to bow out of the dim sum expedition (work and stuff), but Nutty will be going. Here's the place: New Asia, at 772 Pacific (at Stockton, west of North Beach). It seats 1,000 so there should be room even if you have to wait for a bit.

Um, directions. From the Montgomery Street BART/Muni stop, walk north up Montgomery. It will cross Columbus; bear left on Columbus. Take a left onto Pacific; New Asia is at Stockton just a block or two down.

Because it's so nice out, we were thinking of walking (it's less than 2 miles from the hotel). There's also a bus that goes up Stockton St.
Awesome! We are just headed out the door to get Nutty to BART, so I can be reassured that someone will be there. Have fun, I'm bummed I'm missing it.

I've decided to do dim sum, since it's a quick bus ride from home.
I think I'm up to walking - my head could use the walk. Matt and i shoulbe at hs soon.
For people who aren't doing dim sum, will you be hanging at the HS watching the cartoons and revving up for the readings?

ND, Matt, Epic, MM abd I are en route to Winchester House. Given the monumental slowness of the restaurant service, we're considerably behind the other the other group. Gr.

I'm very very sad that I'm missing big chunks of the fun, but excited to get to see people tonight. We're still trying to nail down our exact transportation details. We're hoping to borrow BiL's car tonight, as the two CalTrain round trip tickets will be almost twice as much as just parking at the hotel, plus we'd have to leave early, I think.
Hopefully we'll get it all worked out though.
