Shit's all sorts of different now.

Have we addressed snacks and drinks for the hospitality suite yet? Is the hotel providing anything such as a large coffee urn, etc?

Jess, that sounds good.

Snacks for the hospitality suite usually come out of the F2F fund. We're still a little short money-wise to even have those at this time, although I'm waiting on a few checks through snail-mail, so the current total is mutable. There's still time to donate to the cause, folks! We're at just over $1300 and we need $1358, minimum.

A coffee urn is definitely something to check on, Aims, I hadn't even thought of that.

Also, we should probably start deciding what munchies we want for the Prom and how to divy up the Prom fee, alcohol vs. food. Does anybody have time to look at the menu and devise a poll of some kind? Or should we just state our preferences here and wing it?

Our wings are not tired.

Sail, I'm sending a check off to you today. So very sad to report that I am just not going to be able to join you. My schedule is burdensome and stressful and I thought it would be a break from stress to take off to Madison for the weekend, but instead it just adds another level of scheduling stress. It will be the first one I have missed. Please take lots of pictures and videos and raise your glass in my direction. I'll be in the Adirondacks, so east instead of south this time.

DH was trying to convince me that we could fit it in somehow, but it required him finding someone to cover for his coaching responsibility, finding someone to get my son to his games in FL, flying DH to Madison from Florida. Doing something with my son in NY, getting me to Madison from Otter Lake which involves getting a ride from someone the 2 hours each way to the airport, twice since they have to get me on return too. With the odd flights and transportation and lodging and so forth we're talking a over a thousand bucks too. I promised him that we would just do some mini F2F trips when the timing is easier.

Sad now. I've known the reality for a time, but just couldn't put it in a post. Party on!

You mean, like, stopping in NYC on the way to/from Otter Lake?

Ha! I was just coming to post about that. I didn't hear about it until this morning.

ETA: Laura! So sorry you're not going to be able to make it. We'll miss you. ::pout::

Does that mean all the ducks have washed away?

Real or mechanical? Heh. The Dells cover a very large area, Frank. There's the upper Dells and the lower Dells with all kinds of stuff to do. I'm willing to bet you can still find some ducks, if that was one of your goals for the F2F. Right now, the biggest attraction affected by the loss of the lake is the Tommy Bartlett water show and that's only the ski part of the show. They still plan on doing the land and air part of the show.
