Kate, Smonster and Amyth, I think I will stay in one of the airport hotels that has a free shuttle. That way as y'all arrive, you can take the shuttle to the hotel. Once everyone is at the hotel, we can depart. Sound good? I'll get a car that holds driver + 3 passengers. Y'all can chip in for gas or whatever, but I was going to get a car anyway, so no worries on rental fee. That sounds a lot more relaxing than driving around the airport trying to coordinate pick-ups. Work for you?

Just for FYI purposes, smonster and I are scheduled to fly out of Chicago around 7PM-ish Sunday night, and I had talked tentatively about getting together for coffee with my brother in Chicago before that, if scheduling works out. But if it doesn't, he's only been to visit me in NC once since 1989, so I'm not going to make it a priority.

There's no set time that I have to be back in Chicago on Sunday, so I'm content to wait & catch a ride with whoever.

Since I'm finally making it to one, I'm doubly bummed about the people who can't be there.
I'm hoping with my new job, not only will there be time to make next years, there hopefully will be budget too. In the meantime, sad I can't party with y'all this year.
