Kristin, I'd call the direct number, the national folks didn't seem to have the access.
Also, Sail, can we extend the block?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.

I just called, the hotel is completely full for the weekend. Gah, and I didn't book my and ChiKat's room yet!!!
We're not sure, Kristin. You'll have to try yourself.I can't call until after work, which is why I was asking. We'll figure it out, I guess.
can we extend the block?
Unfortunately, no. I asked a week or so after confirming the original block and they said no, then. Since the QI sounds like it's full, I'd ask about the Candlewood Suites (same reservation number.) They're at the other side of the parking lot and I think their rates are cheaper than QI. We got a really good deal on the room block. If that place is full, I'd try for the Sheraton on John Nolen Drive. It's where javachik is staying and it's maybe 3 miles from the QI.
I just called Candlewood and got the last room with two beds (unfortunately, it's a smoking room). They have some king bed single rooms available, as well as a few king bed with pullout sofabed suites.
Call, people, call! Get those rooms!
ND, if you see this message, I just reserved online a king bed room at Candlewood for Friday and Saturday night.
Whoa! I was actually just think about coming, and trying to run the numbers, but I don't think my shy ass can be in a different hotel and actually, you know, leave my room and talk to people.
I just called and reserved a room at the Candlewood Suites for Friday & Saturday nights. FYI, the number I called for the Candlewood was (608) 271-3400. I got a non-smoking room with a king bed and a sleeper sofa. amyth and smonster, wanna split? It was $169/night, not including taxes. Rooms without the sofa bed were about $30 cheaper, IIRC.
I just changed our room from the smoking two-bed to the nonsmoking suite--it's worth the extra $20/night for the nonsmoking room. So, there's a smoking double available now.
