Shit's all sorts of different now.

We should try to coordinate a drive-from-Chicago-caravan.

ND - when are you all getting into Chicago?

Aims, we don't have tickets yet. We're crossing our fingers and waiting for fares to drop. The plan is to catch an LA flight some time that morning, but we have no idea about the details yet.

Ann, that's a ferret.

We should try to coordinate a drive-from-Chicago-caravan.

It's easy to get from O'Hare to Madison. It's been yonks, but there used to be a Union 76 rest stop in the Elgin area (say, half an hour past O'Hare on I-90) that included a great diner.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

What exactly is bandom? I hear the term, but I don't know what it is.

Bandom is the intense fangirling and sometimes ficcing of any combination of the following bands and their members: My Chemical Romance, Cobra Starship, Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is..., Empires, etc.

see also: my lj for the last several months and hundreds of posts in the music thread recently.

/natter (bandom tag never closes)

I need to get on amyth about buying our tix... the flight I was looking at would get us into O'Hare @ 8 am or so.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Can I book a hotel room online as part of the Buffistas group, or do I have to talk to a human being for that?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Gotta talk to a real hooman bean, Tom. The phone number is on the F2F webpage. It's local, if you want the toll-free it's 1-877-424-6423.

The Hotel just told me they are sold out for that weekend.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I just made a reservation this afternoon, no problem. Although, when I called the 877 number, they told me that there were only suites available, but I had to call directly to get the group rate. When I called directly, I had no problem.

On another note, I would like to do some beer touring. I really want to go to the New Glarus Brewery, but there are several more we can go to as well. Can I get a show of posts for those interested in going on a beer tour on Saturday? I would think that we would do three breweries.

OK, I had to tell the human I was part of the group BEFORE I tried to make the reservation, and I got a room. She said that there was only one more room in the block after mine, though.
