I don't know where I'm staying yet, but my training course is right next to that hotel, so I'll be within a mile radius, most likely.
Actually, I work right next to Copley Square, and there are a bunch of hotels there, so if you end up staying at one of those I could easily meet you for lunch. Even so, a group dinner meet up would be cool if we can herd the Somervillain cats.
Lord knows the South End is chock full of restaurants. Granted, they may be more pricey than we'd want as a group, but I think there are a few you don't need to take out a second mortgage to afford.
D.C.
Ooh, a ride from the metro sounds fantabulous (too much walking to too many monuments yesterday!) and I am eager to try the chili cheese tofu scramble at Asylum.
DC:
DCistas, who's in for brunch? Right now, we have Hil, t (can't recall if you have an SO with), Todd, I'm assuming Sparky (w or w/o DH?). Anyone else?
I think a meetup in Boston would be swell! Count me in.
Lost track of messages back and forth for the DC brunch, when is it again?
Nora! Frank! I didn't know how many Bostonistas there were! Woo!
Technically, we're both Salemites (Salemians ? - either way sounds like some sort of lizard creature from Doctor Who), but we're close enough to make us area-istas.
yeah, we also both work in Boston/Cambridge which makes it easier for post-work gatherings. Sadly, Tom does not have that going for him.
(OT: Frank, did you get caught up in that fire related fustercluck of a commute yesterday? Tom had driven into Somerville for dinner and a show so I didn't know about it till a fellow commuter called me to see if I wanted to share a cab!)

Yes. I think the 5:55 was the first train affected and it was the one I was on. It finally got into Salem around 7:30.
About 15 minutes before, they started letting people off if they wanted to wander over to Wonderland. I felt bad for anyone not going to Lynn, as there's not direct bus that hits Salem or Swampscott out of Wonderland on weeknights. And really smug that I'd decided to stick with the train. Trying to coordinate Wonderland --> Lynn --> Salem would have added another hour at least.
