I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Um, I might just offer to pay for this myself. Local brews, I expect?

Can I request New Glarus Ale and a cute bartender?

Yes, I'd also be happy to pitch in to get the reserve beers (both the Capitol Amber and the Spotted Cow look really nice). It would make me happy like WHOA.

I think we should wait to see what the overall costs are and whether others are willing to chip in for 1/2 barrels. If only 2 or 3 people are interested, I'd hate to see them spending all that money for the keg when they probably won't drink it all, or even half. This is the frugal Scot in me talking, because $300 for the keg and $80 for the bartender adds up. The beer drinking part, though, is saying "hells, yeah" I'll chip in for a keg!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Whether or not I'm able to go this year is still very much up in the air, but I would strongly suggest getting an open bar if possible - carrying cash to Prom is not exactly practical given our traditional costuming choices.

I'll check, Jessica, I do think that's the best idea and I don't think I saw anywhere in their catering info that we can't have one. Some places won't let you and I know at least one of the hotels I got proposals from didn't.

usually what we do is have a "tab" that we've prepaid for. That way, no one has to deal with cash.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

As someone who can't be there, I still want to kick in some $$$, in the same way that people before me kicked in $$$ for F2Fs that *they* couldn't attend.

I'll PayPal to whomever; just please make a general announcement (maybe in Press?) about who I should send $$$ to.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Seriously. Look...I'll be there. Beer consumption is not an issue.

I'm on PayPal, but I think you need a special set up to receive money. I can check into that tonight and see what I need to do to make it happen.
