DAMN! I just realized that if I actually get accepted into the NEH summer seminar I'm applying to, I will miss the F2F. I would have to be in England on the 22nd. GRRRR. I thought I didn't have to be there until the 26th. Well so much for my clever plans.

Our wings are not tired.

If you miss the F2F then you have to plan a tour of visiting each of us individually. Seems fair to me.

ETA: I suppose I could fly from Madison directly to England, but that doesn't seem especially practical. I'd miss the Prom regardless. Dammit! I'm really much more upset about this than I should be.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

So if I come to the F2F, will someone teach me physics?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm partial to this book on physics.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a good one. Thinking Physics is another, it's really helped me to understand some stuff I just memorized equations for in school.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Emily, you could also try The Physics of Superheroes, which I've borrowed from a friend (er, and not yet read - but it does look awesome).
