Ann, that's a ferret.

DCistas -- I promised a review of the Chop House after the office lunch there.

I enjoyed the food. The atmosphere seemed a bit old-fashioned, kind of like an era when Dinner Out included a cocktail or two and a steak without worrying about cholesterol or driving drunk.

They brew their own beers and ales on premises. I didn't have any, but those that did seemed to like it.

The big drawback would be for vegetarians. There really isn't that much in the way of vegetarian options.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Saturday would definitely be better for me. And I'm totally up for movie-doing too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

They do have the best bacon I've ever tasted there, but you're right, the atmosphere is kind of heavy.

I'm good with whatever.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Saturday is fine for me. Movie would be fun, but I can't commit to it, yet. Did we decide on the Pork Store in the Mission? That's the easily BART-able one, yes?

This sounds like just about every steakhouse in the Chicago area (and there are a LOT of those).

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just to add on to the Brunch/movie plans for the 29th. From what I can gather so far (before the movie opens), it appears that it will be playing at The Metreon - very BART-able from our bunch location.

I'll check again after the movie opens to see where else it is playing in the city.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Okay, sounds like we have a plan! Whee! 11:30 at the Valencia Pork Store Cafe [link] and then PS I love you for those who want to go. There is a cool martini bar at the Metreon we could go to before or after the movie too.

Can people let me know as we get closer who will be there so I know how big a table to get?

Hey Tom, whatcha doing that Sunday? I probably have dinner plans, but not the rest of the day.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

okay, DC folks, does anyone have a preference for brunch?

meara - Dec 19, 2007 6:59:23 pm PST #7110 of 10002

Metro-accessible would probably be my only preference...

I am leaning toward Latin dim sum at Cafe Atlantico, which is accessible. Thoughts? Who's in?
