I'm supposed to be "working from home" on NYE, so yeah, maybe a lunch or something on NYE day in DC?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
For anyone who is wondering, I am the best Evil Stepmother Kara's ever had.
Let me know!
This is true. Debet is the best evil stepmother anyone could have. She actually got Kara to clean her room without (a lot of) whining.
Go Debet!
So, brunch or whatever while Scola is here. Maybe Sunday the 30th at 11:30?
I vote for some place not the Washbag this time (sorry Juliana), but that could just be me.
Zazie? Or should we try somewhere else, like Pork Store Cafe: [link] ?
Brunch, Brunch, Brunch....nom, nom, nom. I'm in and am not picky.
Oh, yes, most definitely brunch. And, yeah, maybe not the Washbag...it was amazingly tasty, but it makes me sad to think of javachik and her BF driving around and around North Beach looking for parking and getting more and more frustrated and never actually brunching with us.
Both Pork Store and Zazie are likely to be insanely mobbed at 11:30 -- though, come to think of it, there is a second Pork Store, out in the Mission a few blocks from the pirate store. I don't know how crowded that one gets.
I will point Hec and his encyclopedic SF knowledge at the brunch issue and see what places he can come up with.
The Pork Store in the Mission (16th near Valencia, also near BART if Suzi wants that option) is much bigger than the one on the Haight and could more readily accommodate a batch of us.
Bonus: Walking down Valencia Street afterwards for Pirate supplies, taxidermied mice, hairless cats, books and antiques.
Let's try for that one, then. I'll volunteer to get there early and put our name in if they don't take reservations.
