It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ferry Building it is. bt, you get off BART at the Embarcadero stop, and walk toward the big honkin' building at the end of Market St. It is the end of Market St.

That's the one right by the bay, yes?

Shall we meet at 12:30, grab some food at Out The Door or Taylor's, and sit and watch the Bay? Or shall we actually sit down and eat at MarketBar (which may be more 'spensive than some of us like for lunch)?

I'm in for Baywatch. So to speak.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

for Monday - I'll be BARTing in. Fisherman's Warf is cool, but I can get most places pretty well in the city via public transport - so wherever is cool with me.

JZ and Matilda should be able to join us as well.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Vortex, I thought we were talking about tomorrow. I'll be free before 2pm and between 5pm and 7pm.

shrift, brenda, anyone else care to get in on this?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm probably free for dinner, assuming work doesn't interfere - it's a little iffy right now.

Can't really do lunch because I have four training sessions tomorrow, but I could make dinner!

I was eyeing the menu of Cocina Barro on my way to the bus tonight. Does that sound like a possibility? I could probably get there around 5:15 or 5:20.

Not javachik

I may join you on Friday also!

The 12th Street/Oakland City Center station stop is a mere 10 minutes from the Embarcadero stop, and the trains run every 6 and 8 minutes. [link] Max's, Le Cheval, Pacific Coast brewpub, and the bistro which name I'm forgetting... in the highrise on B'way just west of City Center, has a little courtyard with granite & grass... are at City Center.

Rincon has better food on the cheap, and it's fun! Also, main philatelic arm of the SF Post Office = extra bonus. Then again, I have a thing for The Slanted Door and there's no way you can get reservations on this short a notice, so Thai at Rincon sounds good.
