For Monday - I can get to anywhere, and I could drive you and your stuff around if that would be helpful - or you can leave your stuff in my trunk while we BART ir ferry or cable car around, as the case may be. Touristy possibilities: boat tours on the bay are fun if you like that sort of thing, but windy; Fisherman's Wharf; Lombard Street; Golden Gate Park.
It occurs to me that I don't really know Things To Do in SF.
Fisherman's Wharf is fun, as is Chinatown, and of course North Beach. The Haight is good (which can lead into GG Park), you could see the painted ladies at Alamo Square, you can go shopping in Union Square....
Also- Hec, megan, billytea, and whomever else - lunch on Friday? Can we hammer that out? The way the day is shaping up for me, I can't afford to wander or dilly-dally too much, but I could definitely meet somewhere like Out The Door or Orale Orale or Tokyo Express and sit and have lunch. Or we could all grab what we want from Rincon Center and enjoy the waterfall....
I'll be there for lunch juliana - like you, I just need a time and a place. I'm probably taking part of Friday off as an "end of school celebration" since I can't take the actual last day off.
Friday lunch: just tell me when and where - as long as it is close to a BART stop I have no other limitations.
juliana,
Any of those options is fine by me (even Tokyo Express!), but, has billytea been to SF? Would the Ferry Building be nicer?
Chicagoistas! I find myself in town with nothing to do tomorrow. what should I do? who can i meet?
Where will you be, Vortex? Do you want to see a preview of The Cook? I could probably hook you up. I could probably even meet you for dinner before the show.
Is that this Friday? Hmmmm...wonder if I could get away long enough. Probably not. Poop.
I'm near the Rush Medical Center on S. Ashland. I'd love to meet for dinner.
