Nicole, I'll be leaving Madison around 9ish, which should put me in Chicago around noon. I'll be staying with brenda (waves at brenda), so that's where I'm headed first.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
I just got in from a wonderful evening with Toddson, Sparky and her DH at my very first tapas restaurant. I have decided that I am well and truly a hick, going around with eyes as big as saucers, and asking questions that probably seem silly, but they were very nice about it. I'm not sure how early I'll get going tomorrow, but if anyone wants to play tourist or just get together for lunch or something, email me.
If it doesn't work out, then I wave hi to you all and hope that we can connect at another time.
Edited to fix an oops.
It'll certainly be a fun neighborhood to walk around tomorrow - this is just a couple of blocks from the hotel/restaurant: [link]
Is 8pm reasonable? Are there 6 of us? I'm thinking I should try for a reservation so we don't have to wait for an hour.
8pm is great for me, aurelia.
8pm is excellent. Right now we're heading out to find some food and possibly check out the Observatory and Navy Pier.
If anyone wants to come down and hang out before tonight, just call my cell. We'd love the company.
Brenda, any chance I'll get the chance to meet Lu before I leave? Are you close to downtown?
Oops. We lose the internet connection at the hotel in about a half hour so definitely call or text my cell with any relevant info.
I'm close! Easy bus or taxi from your hotel. Maybe we can do cocktails here before or after dinner or something?
Heaven On Seven update. It may be closer to 9 before they can seat us. Fair warning.
We had party! Heaven on Seven served up incredible meals that we were totally inadequate at doing justice to. After depositing Nicole's leftovers in her hotel room (and the size of that nearly necessitated having a fork lift to do jut that), we toddled off to Rock Bottom for beers and conversation. It looked something like this. Too many carbs later, we all retired to our respective caves to hibernate. Good times.
