I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Ann, that's a ferret.

As mentioned, Saturday (or a late dinner Friday) works best for us.

If you're near the Mall (especially the Capitol end), I could do lunch.

Herding cats for fun

Libkitty, if you have time whilst in DC? Look at one of the museums for me. (is jealous)

LAistas -- one of my friends is going to be in LA for her anniversary on the way to Japan. Any recommendations for a romantic restaurant and a place to go dancing?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I love The Stinking Rose. (Garlic lovers only.) What kind of dancing might they be looking for?

Ooh also The Queen Mary offers many possibilities for a romantic evening.

The status is NOT quo.

Vortex, here are a few I've heard about (though never been too, alas!):

Il Cielo

Cicada

Melisse

Restaurant at Hotel Bel-Air

LAistas! I'm going to drive down to Malibu to see the Getty Villa when I'm in town (and anyone I haven't emailed yet, email me, cause I've forgotten you live in LA). Any restaurant recommendations? Somewhere I can sit on a patio and look at the water whilst sipping a fruity libation? Anyone want to come with?

I'm not familiar with Malibu at all but I'm always up for fruity libations by the water.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm fond of the Reel Inn. It's not fancy, but very popular with the locals (I always see famous people there) has great fish, and a lovely view of the sunset over the ocean. Duke's is fancier and I hear good things about the drinks there. [link]
