How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

For those of you considering attending DebacleCon 2007:

I've found a hotel in downtown Cleveland that is, if reserved far enough in advance, only $60.00 a night per room.

I want to call them on Monday and talk about reserving a block for whenever we want it during the December 13th-15th spread, but I need to have some tentative numbers first.

The 13th is a Thursday and is the night of Deb's library talk. The 15th is a Saturday and is the night of the gallery reception.

I was thinking maybe we could plan on a Saturday night stay, at least. With the Thursday event being during the week and a school night, I figured focusing on the Saturday night shindig would be more reasonable. Anyone free to come up before then can camp out at my house or stay at the hotel, whatever they prefer/can afford.

I haven't heard back from the bookstore yet, but there may be some sort of signing event on Friday as well.

eta: if you're interested in coming and/or want more info, drop me a note at serasempre @ gmail.com.

I'm going to x-post this to my LJ as well.

Ann, that's a ferret.

libkitty, I'd be interested in attending an F2F, but the schedule is craxy with all the vet visits. Tuesday evening is definitely out for us.

Fred Pete, it would be great to meet you. At this point, all I know is that the training will last about 1.5 days during the week of October 8th. I'll post as soon as I have more details, which I hope is very soon!

Our wings are not tired

I just got confirmation that I'm going to be in NYC in October. I'm arriving on the 22nd and leaving on the 24th. I'm not sure how much free time I'll have but hopefully I could at least meet folks for a drink one night. I'm in town for a product launch.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Do you know where you're staying?

SFers, if you are flying into the area and have a choice of Oakland or SFO, which is better if you are not renting a car?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

SFO has a direct connection to BART. OAK has a shuttle that takes you to BART - I don't know how long the shuttle ride is.

aha! that settles it then. Had to decide whether to take the new Virgin Air or Jet Blue. Jet Blue's Oakland, Virgin's SFO. Of course, since I'm on the University dime, I might just take a cab.

Vortex, when do you get in? I may be able to pick you up from SFO.
