I'm sure I'll be a little loopy. This trip is happening right in the middle of work insanity. I'm pretty much into the thick of it with
A Little Night Music
right now. I'm missing the last two previews of that show to come up to WA to teach a class. I get back to Pasadena on Saturday morning and I leave for Orlando on Sunday morning. I get back from Orlando that Friday and by that point Halloween will already be on the 3rd day of our 10 day installation period.
Somewhere before I leave for Seattle I need to finish the media for Halloween.
Hey Midwestistas!
I'm going to be spending a week in the heartland with Abi (Sept 8-16). My sense of who is where is verra verra poor. Let me know if you can get together.
I can haz Trudy. She waves to you all. She made a Mii and boxed with it. She also has a theory as to why there is this whole racing thing in the Midwest, which is that it is all the big, wide, flat roads.
Oh man! There's been a Trudy sighting. I am so out of the loop. I didn't even know there was a loop! I hope you two have a blast.
Comet Trudy has been sighted over the Heartland. She has an erratic orbit, but it's an uncannily predictable interval.
No Trudy for me. Sigh. You lucky Heartland folk. Trudy and flat racing roads. Wheeeee......
Seattlistas, I'm thinking of attended InfoCamp in Seattle, October 13-14. It'll be held at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center. Any suggestions for nearby low-cost but decent accommodations? Also, would folks have time to connect around then? I'm not sure if I'll go at this point, just feeling things out.
I've not been keeping up with Natter or Bitches lately, so please respond here or to my profile email. Thanks!
I'd have time. How low-cost are you looking? You'll want to stay in West Seattle (as that's where the YCAC is). Not sure what all is there in terms of hotels.
I don't have a specific cost in mind, but was thinking of probably low, mid-range hotels. I don't need fancy, but definitely want clean and quietish. I'll see what I can find, and then maybe post some possibilities here to see if they ping anyone good or bad. Also, would it be critical to have a car, or would bussing be feasible? The thought of driving in Seattle gives me the heebie-jeebies.
How far are you from that area, Plei?
I'm east of it by maybe 4 or 5 miles.
Driving in West Seattle is not scary. It's in the city, but not.
