You can see a U-boat here, and the Sunday in the Park with George painting (as well as American Gothic and Hopper's Nighthawks), and some of the best architecture in the world, and hang out at the lakefront!
I definitely vote for a return F2F in Chicago, if you haven't noticed.
Kansas City is also a nice central location and they have really good Jazz and BBQ.
I mean, if we can get a good hotel room in SF for $99/night, we can probably find somehing equatable for Chicago.
While I would support a Chicago F2F, this not necessarily true. Hotels in the Loop/Gold Coast areas tend to be much more than that (typically $169 is a low rate for those areas). But, we can always go to the Lakeview area or even back to Evanston like last time. Lincoln Park Days Inn (http://www.lpndaysinn.com/index2.html) would be a great location.

Parade rainer!!! Parade rainer!!!
Hee. You are totally right. I was checking some sample rates today and it'd be hard to get Loop/Gold Coast rooms down that low. But having recently BEEN to Lincoln Park, I can say Me Likey!!
I'll still throw Nashville and Minneapolis into the mix. KC and Chicago have the advantage of having localistas, but the other cities are still fun and relatively inexpensive.

Oooh, my brother's in Minneapolis. I hadn't thought of that.
Y'know. I think I'm just gonna say screw it and go wherever it is next year.
I think my pref is 1) Nashville 2) Chicago 3) KC 4) Minneapolis
But really, I think I'll go anywhere.
