I'm disappointed, because this is the only time I could finally meet shrift, but I can see my brother's point.
Aww. I'll be disappointed too, but yeah, y'all shouldn't go to the trouble of driving downtown and back if I'm the only one who can make it.
Wish I could promise, but that week is absolutely crazy for me, so I'd be a maybe at best.
I'll be at the Beerworks by 5:30. I would say it is equidistant from Haymarket and North Station, more or less, but slightly logisitically simpler (sure, why not) from North Station (if you pop out the right exit).

If you're taking the train from Park St., once you get off the train onto the platform, take your first set of stairs on the right hand side (which will be close). That will put you across the street from the Garden, and on the side of the street as Canal Street, which you'll be near the corner of (it only goes in one direction). BeerWorks in on the right hand side of Canal, down about 4-5 bars/establishments.

We'll probably meet everybody at the restaurant, but at the least I'm mostly certain I'll be on time, if not a few minutes ahead.
So...new thoughts about my birthday dinner, which is Wednesday. I think shrift is the only one that said she could come. Was anyone else planning on coming?
VW, I'd love to meet you! Maybe shrift could join us out here in the NW 'burbs, so you don't have to drive all the way into the city, if there isn't anyone else able to join us? If not, I can definitely get downtown for dinner.
There are a lot of very nice restaurants out here in the Wheeling/Buffalo Grove/Schaumburg area, and it's really easy to get to from Rockford.
Checking in to say that I'm back from Maine and will be at Beer Works at 5:30 (if I don't get there earlier). Now to find a light lunch (I did mega-grocery shopping today, so getting back from Maine took longer than it should have).
Getting to the NW suburbs is a lot less likely for me on Wednesday, but if vw can get a few more Buffistas for her birthday that way, you guys should totally do it.
