Just a note for future reference, for travel between most midwestern cities, this just can't be beat. It's like that new Columbus airline - the earlier you book, the cheaper it is. Milwaukee to Chicago goes as far down as $1. Chicago to Ann Arbor I think can be $10 or $15.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
Nora, thanks. It all looks good.
phew! I realized yesterday that I am quite useless with driving directions in Boston, but then remembered that 93 runs right in the middle of the area, so it should all work out!

I've not done a lot of driving into Boston either, but I know there's a North Station exit off of 93 just before or after you get out of the Big Dig (I can't remember which because I usually travel coming from the north), but before you get to the bridge (you'll know it when you see it, and if you're on it, you went too far).
If not, I'll probably just hang at the Beerworks for a spell before heading over to the North End.
I believe I'm sensing a pattern develop in Nora's week.
Aimée, I wish I could lend you my parents to possess yours. The anticipatory glee with which Mom greeted the news that I might be forced out of my home if my building goes condo was exasperating in the exact opposite way that your parents' ground rules are. (I had to burst her bubble and remind her that if I move back to Jonesboro, it will be with 3 rooms' worth of heavy furniture and I will actually be renting a place rather than moving in with her and Dad again.)
Short of buying groceries once, we haven't contributed to the household.
what, so your cleaning the house doesn't count? How much would that cost them? WHATEV.
What time do people think they'll be getting to Beerworks tonight? And which T stop is it easier to get to from, Haymarket or North Station?
Wait, it's TONIGHT? I thought it was Thursday!
I can still make it, though. Good somebody said something....
So...new thoughts about my birthday dinner, which is Wednesday. I think shrift is the only one that said she could come. Was anyone else planning on coming? If not, I'm probably not going to come into town. My brother has expressed concern with how late he would be driving (he would have to take me to my cousin's, near Rockford, then drive back home in the 'burbs) and would rather just come take me out to dinner in Rockford. I'm disappointed, because this is the only time I could finally meet shrift, but I can see my brother's point.
Would people be ok with that?
Theo, there was some talk about a Thursday, either this past one or the upcoming one, but most folks weren't available. The 23rd has been always where it was at, bay-bee!
I'll be at the Beerworks by 5:30. I would say it is equidistant from Haymarket and North Station, more or less, but slightly logisitically simpler (sure, why not) from North Station (if you pop out the right exit).
Reservation at Joe Tecce's is at 7:30. It's under my name, Nora. Peeps going are: KristinT, Kristin's cousin, Victor, Lea, sj, Nora, Theodosia, Frank, JonB, and FAQ!Wife.
