I will be in Chicago (actually in Evanston) this weekend at a family reunion but don't think I will be allowed to associate with anyone I am not related to. If we manage to schedule any time to escape (which seesm unlikely, given the many meals and events planned for the 40 of us), I will post here, so maybe I can do an impromptu meet with any free Chicagoistas.
Sorry for the lameness of my invitation!
I get into Chicago around noon on Saturday, July 28th.
Woot!! So, umm, have we decided where the dinner/drinks will occur on Saturday? vw, it's your birthday, any kind of special food you want?
Sorry for the lameness of my invitation!
Not lame, realistic. I understand the DNA-responsibilities. You go, have fun with the family, while we pout and sniffle that you're oh so close and yet so far.
Aimee, insent w/ info on where we're staying

My birthday's actually Wednesday, and a bunch of us are getting together then too. I guess we should get the planning going on that as well. I was gonna ask you guys to recommend a good place that would be easy for everyone to get to, have a bar to hang out in, be fairly reasonable, etc. Anyone got any suggestions? I was actually craving some deep dish pizza last night, but we don't have to do that. I can do that with my brother this weekend.
Anne, are you staying at the same hotel as szandara and them? We should try to keep them in the loop on this planning as well.
It looks like I am actually going to be able to attend the gathering on the 23rd. TCG has a meeting, but I am going to go with Victor and Lea.
Possible solution to family/Buffista conflicts - adopt the Buffistas! there! family! no conflict! and wouldn't any family reunion be enlivened by a bunch of people in corsets?
Do the folks coming from Worcester think they might be able to make a 7:30 reservation? I am trying to think of scenarios that allow me to be able to hang out and also catch the 9:30 train home to Salem, while also accomodating you guys.
Anne, received.
YAY YAY YAY!!!
Plans, people!! I need to know what to pack!!!
