Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
Uh-huh.

The airline announcer chick said 'O-Hara.'
I am home. KateP and I grabbed amyth for a quick dinner and then Amy and I dropped Kate at the airport. ::cries:: I took a nap and I'm about to shower and go back to bed.
The ATL f2f... small but mighty. While there were many many people I missed, the size meant there was less of that "Damn! I didn't get to talk to so-and-so!" feeling. I was delighted to meet Frankenbuddha, Zenkitty, and Ailleann and to reconnect with many, many others.
I'm so glad that people enjoyed the dancing... the Buffistas are such a wonderful audience. "You're such a lovely audience/I'd like to take you home with us/I'd love to take you home." Truer words... Quite simply, dancing is what makes me happy, and sharing that with people who are appreciative is totally for the win.
Set was:
Ta Mavra Matia Sou - George Abdo
Touched - VAST
Apocalyptic Modified Blues - Corb Lund Band
At 2 am or so this morning , nearly the entire hospitality suite did a shot of Fernet for juliana. And I recorded it. Ahhh, classic.
What in holy hell were we singing in this picture? Was that "Carry On?"
THUNK. OMG. So pretty. Everyone. My. And DAMN, smonster. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the Corb Lund bellydancing costume pics. Ded from HOTT.
It was really quite something!
I'm home! Alive and tired. The drive was mostly boring, especially the last hour or so in the twilight with the pecan groves and then the dark. I had to keep flipping through my singalong able songs on the ipod so I didn't go crazy. And after the interesting detour Trudy, Hil, and I took after lunch the whole drive was very dull.
I did call and leave myself a message to see if I sounded like Angela. I just played it and OMIGOD! I do! It's FREAKY.
I had tons of fun, everyone was sexy and foamy and it was great to SQUEE with all the Supernatural people and geek out about vids. Yesterday several of us watched vids for most of the morning, it was great!
Rocky Horror was my first time, but I didn't tell anyone which was good because they were having the virgins go up and fake orgasms. Which all of them did badly, the worst was the cute, shirtless guy.
I am home. 9-1/2 hours. When we got to Palm Beach the Sunfest festival was ending so we watched the closing fireworks from the highway.
Matt, get gas at MM2 in Georgia because Florida is much more expensive. Miami is about another hour south of me if you go straight through. Call me.
I miss everyone. Sigh. Going to bed now.
I am almost home. I've discovered a flaw in my transportation plan - the bus I'm taking home from the train station runs every half-hour at this time of night.
Little pockets of F2F are still going on -- we left Sail, Bev, bicyclops, and Katie Bee over at Ginger's, and then I just left Ailleann, Hil and Trudy upstairs watching TV in order to come down here, pack (just about everything but what goes in the backpack or handbag tomorrow morning), and write this before collapsifying....
Then it's really really over and I take an entire day to travel homewards.
On the bright side, I have something very cool to wear to Club Vivid this summer....
It was an amazing day. First brunch with most of the Buffistas who were still around, and then we adjourned to the Hospitality Suite to pack things up and vacate the rooms, say goodbye to Laura and Brendan, Sparky and Brenda. Some left for naps and lunch plans after, the rest of us moved to the lobby briefly, before we decided to head on over to Ginger's. It was a completely lazy afternoon as groups formed and drifted, discussing family funerals, gardening, shopping, alcohol, and other subjects too numerous and fleeting to mention. Individuals wandered off to upload pictures, catch up online, or nap, and then wandered back to natter some more.
We ordered in Thai, which was num. There was a contretemps over undelivered items, which Vortex handled in her best polite but adamantine manner. The restaurant hung up on her. But then they called back later to assure her that the total had been adjusted. Bicyclops arrived to take Vortex to the airport, and agreed to sample our various entrees before the two of them drove off.
Ailleann and Theodosia rode with Matt back to the hotel, and then Ginger, Katie, Sail and I watched Blood Ties. Everyone's in bed now, even me. Ginger's going to be glad to see the back of us, I fear, all three of us are here till Tuesday. Tomorrow we plan to prowl through a couple of bead shops and an herb shop, and then, who knows? It ain't over till the last Buffista turns out the light, right? Rock on.
