Sitting on the day bed at Ginger's and posting this. Last night was so much fun! nothing like the flail and squee of Supernatural with Buffistas, plus the squee and hugs from seeing Buffistas (again or for the first time). Vortex's hair looks amazing and as always she looked amazing.
I had Fernet for the first time last night. Actually twice, once earlier in the evening and then later on we had a group shot of fernet. It's quite...interesting. Burns on the way down but my cough is almost gone now so I'm going to lay that on the healing powers of fernet.
About 30 minutes away from hitting the road here,and all the heavy stuff is already in my car. Cross your fingers that this is one road trip vacation where I don't bring tornado cells in my wake like something out of a Douglas Adams book!

Darling Vortex is lending me the tubes while she's at the store.
The short version: Flight was good. Not as scary as anticipated. Airport is ugly, good heavens. tommyrot is excellent for giving us a ride here. The snippet of Atlanta I've seen so far is quite lovely. Ginger's place is adorably homey with a sexily obscene amount of books. In-person watch-and-posts are just about the best thing ever. Zenkitty's first taste of Fernet should have been captured on film. The rest of this weekend is going to reach near-epic levels of AWESOME. One might even say it will be MADE of awesome.
The only part of all of this I haven't been nervous about was actually meeting the people. Pretty telling, I think. I'm so glad that I made this trip, and I can't wait till everyone else gets here! (There's a shortage of axe murderers, the naysayers back home will be disappointed.)

I dunno why, but I was just so exhausted last night. (I wasn't even drinking, because of the evil heartburn.) So today I just wanted to sleep and sleep. Plus more sleep.
Anyway, I'm up and about, but I missed the lunch folk.
