Manuel's has great wings, but it appears to be cheaper to order them from the menu, The spanakopita probably started life frozen, but I think it does in a lot of places.
I know very little of the spa, as my fingernails will attest. I can recommend a hair salon, a woman who does threading and a chiropractor. I have known several people who have worked at Natural Body [link] and I've seen some good reviews. We'd have to drive, but there are three that are within 15-20 minutes. I can check with the people at the salon to see if they recommend anything in walking distance.
My one true hair guy is (or was) at Van Michael's, down the street from Key Lime Pie. I should call and see if he's still around.
If he's not still at Van Michael's, one of my hair stylist friends may know where he is. The hair styling world in Atlanta seems to be pretty incestuous.
Thanks for checking, Ginger. I will be without wheels, so any spa-nail-place out of walking range would require a driving-fairy.
I think there will be plenty of driving fairies around.
He's not. His name is Bert Roberts, if you happen to be talking to folks in the know.
I'll have a car, a small car - not sure what the rental place will give me-- but I'll be happy to drive and cramming Buffistas into cars is always fun.
I'm also in for a pedicure. My feet need serious help and if I could squeeze in an eyebrow wax that would also be fantastic. I've picked out my Prom outfit (unless I change my mind) and with peep toe sling backs I definitly need to pamper my feet.
I have never had a pedicure.
God, I'm like the lame country cousin come to visit the big city here. Never been on vaca by myself, ever been on a plane, never taken any major public transport, never had a pedicure, etc. etc.
You'll pick me out, I'll be the Yankee chewing on a piece of straw.
I'm going to pedi today, but I'd definitely be up for some hanging out saturday afternoon!
