Chicagoistas, I'm going to be in your fair city for my birthday at the end of July, and would like to plan a big ass party. My friend that was helping with the planning has had to back out, and I need a Chicago point person. Would any of you be willing to help me out with this?

My summer job puts me in Michigan for all of July. Otherwise, I'd love to help.

Waves from the road.

So I'm on the second day of my road trip to the F2F. Spent last night in Brooklyn with a side trip into Manhattan for drinks and dinner. Today I drove to Columbia, MD, and spent the afternoon/early evening wondering around Baltimore, mostly around Fells Point and the Inner Harbor. I didn't realize the police station at Fells Point had a sign honoring "Homocide: Life on the Street".

Tomorrow I'll spend the day in DC (which I've never been to before). Then it's off to North Carolina (Durham, to start with). I'm enjoying the trip down. Not sure I'm looking forward to the trip back (which will be significantly shorter in duration but the same in mileage).

I wish I had time to see Buffistas along the way, but it was a chore and a half to coordinate all that I'm doing on this trip so far, and there are a couple of old friends I won't have time to see on the way.

Atlanta-ward, ho!!!
