Tapas is Spanish for "small plates." Basically appetizers in place of entrees, usually meat-based and maybe a bit spicer/more exotic than most main dishes.
If we go the tapas bar route, we need to remember to make a couple of food selections with the vegetarians in mind - that menu looks tasty, but not a lot of meatless options.
I believe I do like tapas, then.
I'm coming for the whiskey, and Shakespeare sounds good to me too.
I don't know what tapas is either, but that menu sounds interesting. The no setup/no breakdown seems appealing, as it will save our dear planning folks some work.
brenda, am I right that you're the person we send contact info to?
When telling people where I'm going on vacation, a few have mentioned the Aquarium. Is anyone perhaps interested in that, maybe on Sunday?
How far away from Atlanta is Stone Mountain?
Maybe 20 - 30 minutes, Zen.
The tapas sounds good, but I'll echo what Matt said about having vegetarian options.
So, we're looking at $50/person for tapas, drinks + dessert [there seem to be 4 veggie options on the "choose 5" hors d'oeuvres unless I am misinterpreting the descriptions], more than that for just the space in the hotel and we'd need to provide our own food and clean up after, and a la carte, buy as you consume at Manuel's? Is that right?
Thanks, brenda. I'm thinking of taking a quick trip there at some point.
I don't drink whiskey and I'm unsure what our plans are Friday night, but would be interested once I can find out from DH. Was there discussion of something happening Thursday evening with Ginger. I'll bring flash cards just in case. (Ginger, you have to get better!!)
Prom is looking pricey, particularly with the x2. Guess I could leave DH in the room. ;)
Wish I could make the whiskey, but won't be there till Friday dinner time.
