Did something happen to the F2F gear on Cafepress?
It looks like CafePress has found some problem with my logo image after the fact and moved all the merchandise from available to pending. I've got a message insent to their image verification service asking what the problem is and what I can do to correct it.
Hey, who's drinking whiskey with me on Thursday?
Unfortunately, I won't be there until Friday, otherwise I'd sip along.

I hope it's not a copyright thing - if it is, I can give you "official" permission to use the Buffistas.org logo, since I've already been through that process with CafePress once.
The whiskey thing:

A Study in Whiskey - Part IV
In celebration of the Kentucky Derby Learn why the US Congress in 1964 declared bourbon to be "America's Native Spirit". We'll explore sour mash delicacy - procuring limited batch bourbons exclusively from Kentucky.
$25.00 per person - call 404-876-7249 to make your reservation
I went ahead and made a reservation for 4.
I am sad to miss the bourbon, but I won't be there 'til Friday.
A Moveable Prom is an entertaining idea.
Moveable Prom sounds interesting. I wont' be doing the whiskey thing since I don't drink. I'm interested in Shakespeare, but not ready to commit yet. I have to wait until I get paid this week to get a better idea of what my budget for the F2F is going to be.
We could try to replicate a bourbon tasting on our own.
Both whiskey and Shakespeare sound delightful. What time would I need to be there for Whiskey?
I'm staying with a friend of mine in Chattanooga Wednesday night, and I think it's only about two hours from there to Hotlanta.
Now I'm kind of wishing I'd planned to come for Thursday. Oh well.
PORM:
I've checked out a couple of options - beyond the hotel or Manuel's, what's looking like a good alternative is the tapas place next door to the hotel. I haven't talked to them yet, because they don't open until 5:30. But looking at their private party menus, etc., it seems like it might fit.
Cocktail party menu.
Cocktail party menu would be $24 pp, add $16 - $20 for liquor (the 20 would cover beer, wine, sangria, and mojitos, the $16 doesn't get the mojitos.) We could also add a dessert display for $6 pp. This puts us not that far out of the hotel range, but with all our food and drink covered, and without having to do set-up/clean-up. And it's close enough to the hotel to be practically on site. (Plus - tapas!)
(We'd need to remember to include gratuity and taxes in our numbers, though. For the hotel, I'm not sure what the tax situation is.)
I'll call them later to see about availability and ask any questions anyone has - got any? Particularly I'm hoping to figure out what the general vibe would be, prom-wise.
It occurs to me that Cinco de Mayo makes Manuel's or (especially) bar hopping a less appealing option, rather than more. Just because of the crowds of drunks out and about. Less so for Manuel's (which is not really a Mexican place) than for the other, but still.
ETA: the Moulin Rouge type place was
way
out of our range, and a couple of other places that were suggested didn't seem a good fit.
Um. Says the barbarian, what's tapas, and why do I love it?
