I actually did the "just not showing up" last month after the people who live in the apartment I was in 2 places ago let me know that a jury duty summons had shown up for me there. I tried to call to tell them I don't live there anymore, but no one ever answered the phone down at the Office of Whatever - none of this fancy-dancy website business. And then I got the summons for here. I think they're in cahoots.
My current plan is to come in on Thursday. Although there's a good chance now that I'll be renting a car, I'm not sure though. I wouldn't be going to the whiskey thing.
As people begin getting their plans formalized, I can collect arrival/departure and contact info. Let me know when you're coming and how, when you leave, and cell phone numbers if any and I'll compile a list to go out during the week before - these have been enormously helpful in the past.

We also need to think about collecting prom money. I can do that if no one else wants to, I'll just have to figure out another way to pay the dog walker, etc., so that my paypal account doesn't get confusing.
I'd also like to allow for some money for snacks and drinks in the hospitality suite.

Speaking of Buffista get-togethers and Thursdays, what's the plan for this Thursday's Scolapalooza in Chicago? Are we doing pub quiz night, or sushi? What time, so I know if I have to take a half-day from work or no?

I voted twice! Once for me and again for DH for 2 prom attendees.
Pub quiz is good. And, there's not a Cubs game that night so the neighborhood will be traversable. (Is that a real word? if not, it is now!)

Not yet. I meant to do that this past weekend before the SARS hit. I'll take care of it later this week once my brain is no longer composed mainly of congestion.
