They do accept reservations. They want you to get them 48 hours in advance, with a particular time of entry. They're aimed at hikers and bikers, but anyone can get them.
You can:

Although we will not be in Atlanta, Tom and I will have a micro-mini-F2F (read: with each other) because May 5th is the 5th anniversary of us getting together, and we will celebrate by returning to our old stomping grounds of Somerville and Cambridge for the weekend!
