Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

Librarian Warlord

For those of you DCistas who did not/could not partake of the delicious tofu curl (it's my lunch today), the DH and I will be having a brunch-ish open house on April Fool's Day -- come see if we've actually got everything unpacked! -- for which I will send out details in the next day or so.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I keep forgetting we have this thread. I wish I could go to the F2F, but I think SF trip is going to prevent it.

Speaking of which. SF Peeps! It's less than a month till I'm up there visiting y'all. And seriously, that's all I'm doing up there is hanging with y'all. So I know several things have been mentioned, one thing carved in stone, and I'm kind of a go with the flow girl myself, but I don't want to over commit, so if anyone wants to settle on plans profile addy is good, or you can just conspire amongst yourselves and surprise me.

Also, what's the best way to get from the airport to wherever I need to be? Is there a shuttle, should I plan for a cab? (Of which, I understand, there are five).

The airport is one of the few places that you can find one. Which airport OAK or SFO?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

DJ, please to be emailing with your arrival/departure times? I seem to have lost the email. And it's super-easy to use the BART system to get downtown, which makes it a $7 cab ride to my place as opposed to a $30 ride.

Even $30 isn't that bad for a ride from the airport (comparing to getting from DFW to downtown Dallas, which, I mean the freaking airport isn't even in Dallas, so yeah it's going to cost over $20 if you have to drive to a whole nother city! But this is possibly a rant for another time and another place)

I'll email you the itenerary tonight, juliana.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

DJ, she is here...and leaves town on the 23rd, so it should be perfect for visiting.

I posted a message a while ago to the bay area mailing list, but we are planning a bunch for DJ at my place on the 21st. We still have time, but localistas, please drop me an e-mail if you think you can make it...need a head count for foodage.

Yay! I'm trying to keep a mental list of SFistas, but it seems sometimes some Buffistas slip into other parts of the country. I must have brain deadedness tonight.
