For early arrivers, this is going on at the bar I used to work at down the street:

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Learn why the US Congress in 1964 declared bourbon to be "America's Native Spirit".

Because Jack Daniels is goddamn American hero, goddammit!

If we're still thinking about off-site prom (which I think we are), here's a couple of options -

This [link] is right down the block.

But this [link] a few blocks further, looks kind of made for us.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Both of those look fun! Le Moulin Rouge is tailor made for porm, but I love tapas so I may have to hit that place up just for the heck of it.

Yeah, tapas sounds like a go no matter where we end up for prom.

This is Manuel's, which Ginger had suggested and is also close to the hotel. [link]

Because books.

Le Moulin Rouge is tailor made for porm

A perfect smash-up of "prom" or "porn," which sums prom up nicely, I think.

Our wings are not tired.

If we have enough people I still prefer porm at the hotel if possible. The short trip back to the room is good both for the end of the evening and for quick escapes during the event.

If it doesn't end up making financial sense all of the above choices seem good.

Because books.

::sniffles::

I wish I could come. But this year any extra pennies we have are earmarked for getting the hell out of Central New York and moving back to PA.

::runs out to buy lottery ticket, just in case::
