...What does one wear to Prom?

Whatever one wants to wear. Some people get really dressed up; some people get moderately dressed up. It's all about the fun, and sometimes about the clothes, but mostly about the fun.

Wear something you love. It that means your actual prom dress, wear it. It that means your favorite pants, wear'em. Or that sexy/funky/oddball thing you bought but have never had the courage to show to the world. Wear 'em all together if you want, it's a free for all!

And if you can't decide, don't! Mid-evening costume changes are an old tradition.

Corsets! Bustiers! Ball skirts! Bellydance costumes! Leather kilts with satin poet shirts! Boas! Full-length Matrix-style coats...in chartreuse satin! a sari! Tiaras! Fishnets! Candy bras and stripey tights...oh, wait.

I found make-your-own candy necklace kits while shopping with mom a few weeks ago. I almost bought them, then thought that that kind of defeats the purpose...to have spend all that time *making* them. Mom wanted to know what I wanted to do with candy necklaces. And then, after I told her, she wished she hadn't asked.
