I'm not going to be able to go to this F2F, but I love the design!
'Heart Of Gold'
F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
I really like the logo!
I have a question... If I wait, say, another month before I make reservations at the hotel, would I risk not getting a room? Or should I just put my foot down and tell my boss I'm taking those days off, no matter what crisis we're enduring at the time?
Needs the year, I think. Did the other logos show the year?
Last year's didn't, but I might be able to work one in if folks think it's needed badly. We'll definitely need to do that in future if a F2F revisits one of the former locations.
In the meantime, here's a revised version: [link]
I couldn't get the type to stand out from the background color as much as I wanted without a radical change in colors used, but I was able to make the metal outline pop a bit more. Whadya think, gang?
Hey, where's the link to the F2F page?
I'm not going to be able to make it to the F2F this year ... woe.
However (deep breath) my birthday is the week after. I've decided I'm going to start celebrating it - any DCistas want to join me for dinner and/or drinks on Friday, May 11?
I know the feeling Toddson. We won't be making it, either. Booo!
Matt, I think it looks great. As for last years, I think Pete put the year in very tiny numbers in one corner, it blended in to the overall bridge layout. I don't know if you could do something similar with this years.

Todd, assuming I'm not out of town or encumbered by a work obligation, I'd love to!
Both of Zmayhem making it is looking doubtful, but if we're lucky and careful than at least one will. I still feel sad about missing NOLA and really, really want to make sure if at all possible that there's at least one of us at every F2F.
And no, Matilda doesn't get to go on her own until she's at least three. It's important to set limits for your children.
