Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Your tag here.

This is Part 2 of the Jury Pamplet for Massachusetts, see Postpone section [link] -- which basically says what Jon B. said. More resources here [link] .

At this point, it looks like I'll need a ride.

Hm. What time will you be done, do you know? I work in Brentwood, so I could pick up up after work, possibly. Are any of the non-Valley-side LAistas planning to come out?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I almost missed the first F2F, because I was in the jury pool for the trial of a man accused of traveling across the country and killing someone he met on the Internet.

I have a sneaking suspicion that grumpily informing the attorneys and judge that you'd intended to travel across the country to meet friends from the internet before jury duty intruded might have gotten you disqualified from that case, Tom.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Reading through this thread, we've got you (KristinT), ND, Aimée, and Robin. Anyone I've missed?

Unfortunately I do not know when I'll be done, but I could call you Tuesday afternoon when I've got a better idea of how things are going?

FAQWife just offered to lend me her cell, so I'll be easier to reach. I'll email you the digits.

Jon, got 'em and sounds good. If it looks like you may be getting out later rather than earlier, we may decide to carpool your direction. If earlier, I'll pick you up and bring you this direction. I'm sure we can be flexible.

Would anyone be interested in the Cat & Fiddle or the Smokehouse? Not Mexican, but central and yummy. ND suggests Mexicali and Casa Vega on Ventura if we want to stay central and Mexican.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Well, the Smokehouse is Old School LA, so that's fun. There's Mr. Cecil's for ribs or El Cholo. As long as it's not too pricey and not sushi, I am there.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You guys are making me hungry and I'm not even in the state.

Or possibly the chili that's cooking is making me hungry.

Or possibly I'm just hungry.

I know you needed to know.

Our wings are not tired

The Smokehouse if fun, and you get the atomic orange garlic bread.

This place? Not particularly adventurous foodwise, but the atmosphere could make up for it. I'm in!

The Smokehouse it is! Old School LA and nice and central. Shall we say 7:30? Or would 8 be better?
