Tom, insent momentarily on the JetBlue thing.
F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
And I live right near the Oakland airport and am happy to provide Buffista shuttle service!!!
I was already planning on flying JetBlue out to the coast, but I can't use it to fly between cities once I get out there, and I was wondering what my choices were.
Southwest is the cheap way to do up and down the coast, but I despise flying them. I much prefer using Alaska Airlines for LA to SF and SF to Seattle.
I've also used both SW and AA for LA/SF/SEA runs and much prefer Alaska Airlines. SW might be better price-wise for one-way trips though; I can't remember if the AA trips were one-way or not.
Tom, I'd love to see you while you're in Boston!
The World of Coca-Cola - Fun and interesting. I go for the original Haddon Sunblooms, he being the man who showed us what Santa Claus looked like, but there is also a lot of interesting Coke and soft drink history; many bells and whistles; and a room where you can taste Coke products from around the world (flower-flavored soda, anyone?)
Cross this off the F2F itinerary. link
Until the new attraction opens, we look forward to welcoming you to the "original" World of Coca-Cola through April 7, 2007. We will close the existing World of Coca-Cola after this date to prepare for the grand opening of the new World of Coca-Cola on May 24, 2007.
bicyclops! I was hoping we would see you this year!
You know, even though I don't drink carbonated beverages, I still found the World of Coke to be a fascinating visit -- too bad it won't be running during F2F!
I just came back from a merry evening at flea and Mr. flea's, where smonster, amych, Calli, Dana, Mr. Dana and I were entertained by Casper's excellent dance moves and Dillo's remarkable vocal stylings. We ordered in Indian, since it was newly discovered that the Indian place delivers.
...oh, hilarity ensued. The food was yummy, but the order wasn't complete, and it was late, and then Mr. flea called to have the rest of the order delivered, which was also very late. *But!* The company was excellent, and the chocolate raspberry cheesecake flea made was delectable.
It was such a pleasure to finally meet Dana--she was on my tape tree for bootlegging the puppy!--who I think is the only active poster who predates me. The whole evening was great fun. Thanks to flea and Mr. flea for hosting.
