Yeah. If not for the fact that I was likely in a heat-and-sazerac-induced coma back in my own room, I'd be miffed that no one thought to notify me of the show.

Isn't indecent exposure a sort of community standards misdemeanor?

Back in the early 70s when I was a wee lad, my dad took me to a baseball game soon after he graduated from law school. A streaker ran right past us and onto the field and the overweight cops had a heck of a time trying to catch him -- he'd let them get close and then run away. The crowd got into it and were clapping and cheering him on and the organist was playing music too. Eventually, the guy got cornered and the cops took him away.

Later, my dad's friend from law school represented the streaker and argued that community standards weren't breached, and in fact, the streaker was the best part of the ballgame. The charges were dismissed.

The status is NOT quo.

Hee!

It definitely was not impressive sex on a balcony, and yet we couldn't look away.

Or refrain from shouting "Do it better!" Some of us, anyway.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

And it's also memorable because SOME Buffistas were smoking after someone else had sex.

Or our physics. The bead-throwing would have worked much better if we'd tied the beads in a knot first.

And it's also memorable because SOME Buffistas were smoking after someone else had sex.

snerk. I'd completely forgotten about that.

F2F News

I have been talking to the hotel representative, Melissa. Brenda had previously tentatively booked the ballroom for March 31. Melissa strenuously urged us to pick another weekend, because apparently the Final 4 is here that weekend. The first two weekends in April are currently free for the hotel, and the city doesn't have any major events planned.

I'm meeting with her tomorrow afternoon to look over the hotel.

One possible complication is that they only allow blocks of 10 rooms. She said, however, that if we book early, there shouldn't be a problem, and anyone who mentions the group will still get a discount. It's a very small hotel (45 rooms), so blocking the rooms together won't be a problem. We're just going to have to reserve early.

How shall we decide between the two weekends? Can someone set up a poll? (The weekend of April 6 is not good for me, unless you all want to come to the show April 7 by the band I kind of manage. I can work around that, though, if it's better for everyone else.)

April 6 is easter weekend, so I'd say the following week is most likely to be workable.

Don't forget passover/easter. Easter is April 8. I gather it's a dealbreaker for some.

Oh, yeah. Easter. I hadn't put that together. My mother is going to want me to come home, and that ain't happening.

eta: So should I just go for the weekend of April 13?
