I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Not like my next couple weeks aren't busy enough, but what are you up to Sunday?

No plans yet, P-C! Though I was kinda thinking (inasmuchas I'd thought about vaguely maybe planning anything) that it might be a good day to try to do a lunch or dinner with some folks...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've eaten at Delancey and the food is excellent. Plus you have the added intrigue of guessing about your waiter's sordid past.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

How are people doing on getting city proposals/quotes? Javacat emailed a few of us some info on what we did the past few years, so if anyone wants that and didn't get it, let me know.

Remember, we're trying for having proposals done by December 5. Anybody needs help with anything, just post it here, and I'm sure there'll be someone who can help.

The Durham Marriott has rooms for both April 6-8 (bonus - big-ass Christian fundie group meeting in the hotel!) and March 31-April 2, but no space available for Prom. We could consider renting out a space or taking over a restaurant - there are a number of possibilities; I know nothing about price. Group room rate $109 for the hotel only. They do have suites.

Other Durham hotels are either not very well located, kinda chintzy, or very expensive. I am a little discouraged on that front - any volunteer want to look here (http://www.durham-nc.com/lodging/) and try to come up with other possibilities?

Do you all think a proposal with a separate prom location is worth pursuing?
