Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What Sean said. Heh.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Vortex, it sounds like a good formal description of who we are. But "politics" shouldn't be the first items listed. Of the 4 things you mentioned, "politics" is probably the least important to the board. We have a number of threads specifically devoted to various aspects of popular culture, additional threads devoted specifically to writing and literature, but none specifically for politics.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

oh, i thought we did. My bad.

eta: and I realize that the description is rather formal. But, when you're trying to do business, you get a better response if you sound business-like.

Definitely not knocking you, Vortex! You did good.

I also agree that I don't really think of politics as a major topic of discussion, certainly not one to be listed first in a list.

The status is NOT quo.

Vortex is so sexy with her mad lawyer skillz.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So - next weekend, Saturday, dinner? We have Helmand's on the table, but I will also humbly suggest my boyfriend's new place. Which doesn't yet have a name, but it's where La Felce used to be on Stockton & Union, and it's Northern Italian food served "tapas-style". It's good (but it doesn't have the yummy pumpkin dish).

Also, we could try for an earlier dinner at 6ish or so, if that makes it easier for people....

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Which doesn't yet have a name

I thought it was going to be called "Blank Sign"?

Also, Vortex does indeed have the mad lawyer skillz. I want her to write all of my letters from now on.

They may as well go with that. I roll my eyes at all of them (while drinking for free, of course).
